First Presbyterian Church of Bowling Green, Ohio – Interim Pastor
First Presbyterian of Bowling Green, Ohio seeks a full-time, experienced interim pastor to provide leadership while we
conduct the search for a new called pastor. Start date would be mid-October. Duties include organizing and preaching at Sunday 10am worship, leading our talented and dedicated staff, supporting our Session and moderating its meetings, and participating in the life and work of the church. Details of pastoral participation in our activities and commitments can be mutually agreed upon. Candidates should be teaching elders with interim experience.
Our 200-member church is located in the heart of downtown, an indication of our commitment to our community. We provide space for 12-step groups, a Latino advocacy group that provides ESL classes and many other services, and an
alternative high school for teens under disciplinary action. For nearly 50 years we’ve operated a no-fee shop offering
clothing and household goods to the people in need. Our vibrant congregational life includes a Wednesday supper
program that attracts members and guests alike. Our peerless music program [largely traditional, with choir and organ] draws upon the staff and students of Bowling Green State University. To see the full range of our life and
ministries, please visit www.firstpresbyterianbg.org
