Immanuel already values inclusion across faith experiences, sexual orientations, gender expressions, and cultural backgrounds – this is reflected in the great variety of peoples on our staff and in our membership. It is our responsibility and our joy to bring the kingdom and the kin-dom of God to our world through love and service to others. We have LGBTQ persons on our staff and in our membership, and we have hosted programs affirming the acceptance and celebration of LGBTQ persons and their rights (for example, the recent inclusion of the GenOUT chorus who sang at the Evening Service!). Officially joining the More Light Network is the next step to solidifying our commitment to LGBTQ persons and to making our commitment clear to our children, to our youth, and to all who seek to explore our church.
