Biography
Coffee & Queeries is a ministry of the open and affirming Presbyterian Student Center. We create safe and inclusive interfaith community together, connecting religious members of the LGBTQ+ community. Our group provides a brave space for discussion and friendship. Interspersed with our official meetings, we attend local events which center the LGBTQ+ community as well as host guest lecturers who can speak to queer and religious identity. We provide tea and Jittery Joes coffee!
Two members of the PSC started C&Q after sharing a meaningful cup of coffee, over which they reviewed queer movies, chatted about life after coming out in the Deep South, and wondered, Where are the other spiritual gays? C&Q connects people who share intersections. We even have a playlist (gaylist?). Add your favorite queer anthems and join us every other Wednesday at 4:30pm in the Presbyterian Student Center.
