As June arrives, we join you in celebrating Pride Month! Together, we proclaim that the LGBTQIA+ community is Here to Stay!
We are living through legislative attacks on our communities, escalating rhetorical strategies designed to stoke fear, and a state of emergency for transgender youth and their families. Yet queer joy, trans imagination, and the abiding possibilities of God’s kindom remain with us, and so we persist. We cannot and will not retreat into the shadows.
In the coming days and weeks, we’ll be joining you, your loved ones, and your congregations in uplifting the sacredness, resilience, and possibilities of our communities.
