Asexual: a self-identifying term used to describe a person who experiences a lack of sexual attraction or very little sexual attraction. Asexuality is also sometimes referred to as “ace” for short.

The asexual pride flag is comprised of four bars, each with a specific meaning:

  • Black: representing a lack of sexual attraction (asexuality)
  • Grey: representing grey-asexuality (seldom sexual attraction) and demisexuality (the feeling of sexual attraction only when there is emotional connection)
  • White: non-asexual partners and allies
  • Purple: community
